Crews work around the clock to repair I-65 sinkhole
MORGAN COUNTY, AL (WAFF)- A Madison construction company is working around the clock to repair a section of Interstate 65 in Morgan County.
The contract calls for the work to repair an area affected by a slide to be complete by February 27th.
The company will earn an incentive of $150,000 a day if they get the repairs done early. The company will have to pay fines if they go past the deadline.
Northbound traffic is being diverted around the area. The detour takes travelers through Hartselle. Southbound traffic is not affected.
